Crazy Simple Thing Called Love

Hello again,

Actually, I avoid myself writing a post around that thing called love. But, Hell, this one is dedicated to my previous and my best-friends. And anyways, this isn't me talking, but it's others talking, I just sort of made them references. I know I'm not good at words. (DUH?!)

I was wondering what a relationship is. I dated many, but then still I don't have a damn idea about what a relationship is. I thought just two people, hanging around, with the same feelings for each other. Yep, just like that.

In fact, no, it isn't that simple. If it is, then why is marriage become freaking complicated? If it is, then why do lovers argue for any small things? If it is, then what's the difference between lovers and friends?

I thank God for giving me the chance to learn exactly what love is. I thank Buwaneka Jayanetti for teaching me what a love-based-relationship really is. I know I am not good at it, but what the hell, we're still learning.

What a coincidence, I heard many comments around that thing named Love lately. Love-Birds, New Couples, Arguing, Breaking-Up, and so on. So I decided to post this blog, thinking maybe I could help somehow. Take It or Leave It.

What is a relationship actually?

Based on what I've learned, it's about two people become one. Two troubles become one. Two happiness become one. That means, yes, two lives become one.

How do you know if he/she is the right one?

You know yourself better than I do. So, think deep. Is he/she really the one you want to spend your time with? Is he/she really the one you can trust? Sometimes, emotions takes control when it gets on love. But one thing I've learned, don't let your ego takes control of you.

How does a relationship actually work?

Trust. That is why in a relationship, we have to keep trusting each other and make sure you trust yourself not to break the commitment.

Honesty. If you're not honest to yourself, how can you be honest to your partner? If you're not honest, how the hell can you keep your partners trust?

Empathy. Not being ego-centered, feeling each other, understanding each other are somewhat important. I don't know how to explain this, but don't you guys feel it?

Does it matter when it comes on distance?

Again, when you trust your partner, when you're being honest to your partner, and the same thing comes from your partner, distance shouldn't matter. Love is free, Love is everywhere.

Well. I guess that's the farthest I can get. Now I know what a relationship really is. And I hope, I won't do the same mistake all over again.
